Sometimes real life calls.  Then unfortunately, SL (second life) has to take a backseat.  That is what happened between my real life (RL) and my second life for long enough for over 400 KittyCats to age out.   The good news here is that in SL one can come and go, either starting over with a brand new avatar or picking back up where one left off putting life back together, much like real life.  Well, I have chosen the latter.  My avatar has seen lots of good times in SL and has collected lots of friends that know me; frankly, I want to keep that!  I have a wonderful partner in SL who I will keep in real life (RL) and SL.  I don’t want some new avatar latching onto him, even if that avatar is me!  ;)

On the other hand, when an avatar comes back to SL, they have the option to start over again with old inventory, old friends and even sly family, but with new land, new house, and lots of new ideas!
For many years in real life, I have had the dream of opening a women’s center, where they could attend seminars, develop hobbies, join support groups, and fellowship with other women.  During the months of my SL hiatus, I have come to the realization that such a center would be a welcome refuge for RL and SL women; however, aren’t they one in the same?  What we bring to SL is just reflection of RL, even if it is just what we desire our RL to be.
I’m proud to announce that The Circle of Claddagh Center will be opening October 1, 2013!  The center is not-for-profit; however, will accept donations at the wishing well to help continue blessing women through SL.  It is limited at the moment to women with plans later to bring in a Center for Men in a different location since the center is designed to be a safe place for women to get to know themselves.  It has been a RL dream of mine to open this type of center for women but funding has been an obstacle in RL; however, SL brings the opportunity to reach so many more women with all sorts of needs, even if the need is only to socialize and fellowship with other like-minded women.  The Center of Claddagh is a Christian based center but will never preach or force our personal worldviews on any member or guest.  You can join in the classes, groups, or just hang out with no fear of judgment or imposition of your individual worldview.

In RL, I hold a Masters in Human Services/Marriage & Family, Counseling. Professional individual services will be provided by appointment if desired (for a small hourly fee).  The goal of this center is to provide classes, both sly and RL based classes, a library of eBooks, and group meetings, both self-help and social groups, and counseling and life-coaching sessions, as well as just fun activities like hobbies, crafts and just hanging out with other women.  The Internet viewers will be set up to access tutorials for hobbies and home remedies.  Suggestions for new activities will always be welcome and a suggestion mailbox will be up for members and guests to keep us updated on your needs.

Currently the center is under-construction, but the building is up and decorated.  The internet viewers, notice boards, classes, etc. are still in progress.  Please feel free to visit The Circle of Claddagh Center at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Custer/18/102/45 to see our lovely building and follow our progress to completion! I'm including a couple pictures of the center inside to whet your interest!  It is tastefully decorated  and homelike!  No sterile atmosphere here!
Our reception and Living room area.
Each meeting room has an internet viewer so that various tutorials, movies, and even google search can be assessed by members.  The eBook Library in the main living room will be located right behind the reception desk.
Kitchen doubles as our Craft/Hobby area

Crafts & hobby activities as well as a recipe sharing will be conducted in the Kitchen which can accommodate 12 members at once!

Hiya Readers!

I hope that I don’t turn this blog into another all about breedable blog but breedables are just so much fun!  The last two blog sessions I’ve drooled, ooh’ed and aw’ed over the KittyCatS breedables.  They are awesome and I love my KittyCatS (KC) but I also have other breedables so I want to make sure I mention some of the others I enjoy along with my beloved KittyCatS! Just a bit more praise for the KittyCatS Addicts group and I’ll shut up for now about KittyCatS!  This group is a great support group and I’m listening! Recently, some discussion was going on about traits.  KittyCatS Owners and Support Team have been emphatic that all KC kitties are unique and special no matter what traits they have!  Of course the market speaks a different tune but here’s the scoop about KittyCatS sizes.  There are three size KittyCatS: normal, toy, and teacup.  The size is considered to be a countable trait; HOWEVER, size is a trait that falls from the goodwill of the stork, aka the KC server.  The breeder has no control over this trait.  He/she can breed till they are blue as a Russian blue and won’t be able to predict which parent will produce a teacup or a toy.  I hope this helps answer some question marks in breeders’ minds.

Don’t forget to grab your Collabor88 collectible kitty in honor of Collabor’s birthday!  The Baroque kitties are random for gender. The girl is white and the boy is black!  They are lovely in their bright colored vest and promise to hold a couple fun surprises when bred! Price is very reasonable at $188 lindens for each cat!  Don’t miss out this special kitty is only available till September 7, 2012!!!  One last note about KittyCatS this time… be sure to register and create your account on KittyCatS’ website (http://kittycats.biz) to open all customer support, your cats registry and pedigrees, the forum which includes a place to advertise your cats or wanted cats!  Register at the mainshop on the web terminal to the right as you go through the front door.  It has a pawprint on it!  Click it and the registration page will open in your internet browser!

Onward breeders!  I have fallen in love with some other breedables; these are not better or worse than my beloved KittyCatS, just different!  Do they breed?  Yes!  Currently, in addition to KittyCatS, I own and raise Papillion Flutters, Meeroos, Amaretto Barnyard Birds, Amaretto Horses, and PlantPets.  See, I told you my life is rounded out in SL just like in RL!  Due to limitations I promise I won’t talk about all my breedables every week but I think the breedable community is a fun way to enjoy SL on your own land, with other breeders at sponsored events.

Go Green and organic with PlantPets and Papillon Flutters These two breedables coexist in a garden just beautifully.  Butterfly BellFlower has created an entire ecosystem for the flutters, which include butterflies, wisps, fireflies and dragonflies.  The plants are designed to grow in a garden and produce food for the flutters to eat, which means once you establish your garden, there is no food bill!  The flutters breed readily and easily with so many mutations and colors, there is a flutter for everyone to love and enjoy!  The accessories are to encourage growth of your food sources and include things like a rain cloud, gardening hoe, birds, water sprayer and garden scissors!

The PlantPets come in a seed that is to be planted and watered before it will produce a baby plant for you.  These babies arrive to healthy plants every 52 days as long as you don’t forget to water and let them “die”.  When they die, they send you a nasty gram and you get to reset them so you don’t really lose your plant but you lose time before you have a new baby plant!  These PlantPets beautify my skybox so much!  I love watching them grow and moving them around in my garden, just like in RL!  I get all the pleasure of playing in the dirt but I don’t get dirty!  Cool, huh?

Meeroos are a relatively new breedable for me.  They have been around for about a year (correct me if this is incorrect, Meeroo veterans!)  They are mystical creatures that look and move like a bunny and cat got together and produced a baby. I’m finding they have tons of personality and even ask to be picked up and cuddled at times.  They live in their own little homes in the garden.  Their homes come in a variety of styles so you can adapt the homes to the décor of your own garden.  Their colors and traits are too numerous to list now but I promise I’ll get to them in detail soon!  It seems they are all napping today!

I started breeding Amaretto Horses a couple years ago then took an extended vacation but they got into my blood.  I wanted to get a pair of White Walkers to just ride around the farm; however, one bundle produces the excitement of the next bundle.  THEN I discovered all the new traits and colors that have come out since I had horses before.  Goodness… breedables are so addictive!

Amaretto Barnyard Birds (Chickens at the moment) are the newest breedable offered by Amaretto.  They are surprisingly realistic in their sounds and look; I really do love them almost as much as I love my RL silkie chicken.  I keep one rooster and three hens together and just love seeing them strut around their pen. Be sure to watch for the various Amaretto classes and seminars offered for free!!!

I have just begun keeping Odyssey Seahorses!  I’ve been an aquarium lover in real life for many years and seahorses just amaze me when I visit aquariums.  These seahorses eat from Crystal Shards that emiet bubbles that add to the aquarium environment beautifully!  The seahorses come in lots of beautiful colors and best of all –they are asexual!  You only need one to breed!  They start to gain Desire at 5days old. and will Rezz either a Magical Orb or a Treasure Chest.  These little guys are very new to me so I’ll be reporting more on them as I learn more about them!  So far, my seahorses have given birth once for me and it was so exciting getting those orbs!  I can hardly wait for the next round!

There are some awesome events in SL coming up along with various classes and seminars you just don’t want to miss!  Check out the SL calendar of events to make your SL experience more exciting and fun!
Whew, I didn’t mean to go on and on and on, but I get so excited about my breedables and love talking about all my pixel pets!  Have a great week!

KittyCatS newest Collectible! Menagerie Bengal Tigers!

Wow... if you haven't seen the new Collectible KittyCatS menagerie tiger, you are missing a treat! They are gorgeous!  I can hardly wait to get mine!  In fact, hurry on down with this link (http://slurl.com/secondlife/KittyCats/128/117/25 ) to the main store lobby and pet on them!

They have 4 possible eye colors:  Jade, Amber, Lapis, and Odyssey Cobalt & Olivine!  KittyCatS design team has stated these eye colors are inspired by the rocks of the exotic Menagerie land!  Their tails and ears have not been neglected either!  Just gaze at the picture for more details!
You have to collect kitty dollars (K$) from menagaring cats or kitten boxes to be able to buy the tiger with K$.  The tiger kitties have a chance to pass traits into your cattery that no other KittyCatS has!  KittyCatS says  these kitties will be around for a very long, long time so you have time to save up to get your very own Bengal Tiger kitty!
I’ve been M’ing cats and boxes since yesterday afternoon!  I’m up to 8675 K$ and counting!  If I can get to 10,000 K$, I’ll get a normal; 12,000K$ will get me a teacup or toy tiger!
For those of you who shy away from menagerie because you think you are “killing” your cats, let me reassure you here. The kitties actually go to a wonderful sunny place called Meowi (like Maui Island).  They run, play in the sand and drink catnip juleps all day every day!  They never have to breed or even stop playing to eat or sleep!  They live “a life of luxury, enjoyment and fun forever”!!!
Here is a map of Maui.

I’ve been told that Meowi is much like Maui but the inhabitants are KittyCatS, not avatars.  In fact, avatars are only allowed to work in Meowi serving the KittyCatS residents.  Now I have not been to Meowi myself but I do receive the occasional PawCard (known as a postcard to avatars) from KittyCatS who once lived with me in SL.

Here is my rendition of the Isle of Meowi.

For now, I’m going to stop writing and sort & toss more of the kitten boxes and live retired cats I have been hoarding so I can have one of these lovely little Bengal Tigers!
Till next time!  Hugs & Smiles,

Introduction

Hi,

Hi, I'm Annie Hancroft of Ayrshire Farm, life coach, writer, designer, and breeder in Secondlife (SL).  I've found that life in Secondlife is pretty much what you make it.  I absolutely love going in and designing, playing with breedable pets, and spending time with friends.  I've been in Secondlife since August 2008 but am still learning every time I sign on!  I originally meant to blog my life in SL when I created this blog almost 2 years ago!  Oh my, time flies in Real life and SL!

I'm a Christian Life Coach both in SL and RL.  I love seeing people jump start the first day of their rest of their lives.  Please IM or drop me a notecard if I can help you progress in achieving your life's goals! I wear my Christian armor both in RL and SL.

Anyway, the plan for this blog is to log new creations, my SL pet breedable progress, and life in general in SL.  I welcome news and comments!  :)

Hugs and smiles,
